The Core Volumes Indicator is a sophisticated algorithm measuring multiple aspects of real Forex Volume data. Powered by direct connections with reporting FX exchanges, covering almost 60% of the market, it assesses currency turnover by counter-party, transaction-type, and volume. Color coded 'smart' volume bars reveal what the major market players are doing and how their activity is influencing current price, and future moves.
Quickly identify the price moves that are initiated & supported by large institutional volumes, and catch the most reliable trends being driven by the biggest traders.
Real volume is a true leading indicator of price, providing the unique advantage of being able to enter & exit trades with precise timing ahead of the crowd.
Entering, exiting, and avoiding moves in harmony with the institutional smart money, provides you with an edge that will minimise losses and maximise returns.

The total volume of buy orders is measured against the total volume of sell orders, to reveal the net imbalance. The indicator displays these imbalances on a scale of 0 to 100%, and the higher the value, the more likely the price is to move in that direction.
The market participants behind each order are tracked, in a simlar way to the CoT (Commitment of Traders) report, to distinguish between commercial and speculative institutions, with speculators adding more weight to the final indicator display.
The total volume (all buying and selling) is added to the indicator bars to help with the assessment of whether a price move is accompanied by high or low volumes. This is useful for volume spread analysis, in determining how much 'effort' was required to move the market.
Order volumes are assessed to establish whether they are submitted to open new positons (adding to open interest and strengthening a move) or to close an old position (reduce open interest and weaken a move).
All volumes are compared against the average for the time period being assessed. This allows users to see if the current order conditions are higher or lower than normal for the exact time period being monitored.
The indicator provides valuable information suitable for long term, swing trading, day trading, and scalping.
